Fabric Requirements:

Main Fabric: 1/3 yard
Contrast Fabric: 1/8 yard
Backing: 32” x 17”
Batting: 32” x 17”
Binding: 106” x (binding width of your choice – I use 2 1/2”)

Cutting Instructions:

Main Fabric:
From width of fabric (WOF) cut 1 each 7” strip and 1 each 31/2” strip Leaving the 7” strip folded together with selvages matching, trim the selvage.
From what is left, cut the fabric in half so that you have 2 equal 7” wide strips.
Cut one piece in half so that you have 2 equal pieces each 3 1/2” wide.
Cut a piece 33’ long by 3 1/2” wide.

Contrast Fabric:
From one 2” strip, cut two pieces the same length as one of the 7” strips (this will be between 20 and 21”). From the second 2” strip, cut a piece 33” X 2”.

Assembly Instructions:
1. Sew the main portion of the table runner (20” pieces) together like this: 3 1/2” main fabric – 2” contrast – 7” main – 2” contrast -3 1/2 main
2. Press seams the way you prefer.
3. Sew the 2” x 33” strip of contrast fabric to the 3 1/2” x 33” strip of main fabric. Press seam the way you prefer.
4. Measure the width of your main section of table runner. From the strip set made in Item 3, cut two pieces that width. Stitch one to each end of your table runner with the main fabric on the outside edge.
5. Your table runner is ready to quilt and bind.
