The Valley Quilter’s Guild teamed up with the Palmer Senior Center in the second half of 2023 to make lap quilts for the Center’s home-bound “Meals-on-Wheels” clients, as part of a special Christmas celebration.
The VQG donated 129 lap quilts made specifically for these clients — and what a beautiful site that is!
The VQG made its first delivery of lap quilts on September 28, 2023 to the delight of Senior Center residents and volunteers who were present!
We wrapped up the program at the November 2, 2023 guild meeting with a visit from Palmer Senior Center Board member, Ginger Sweeney, who gave a heart-felt thank you to the Guild,
and requested a group photo with all those present who helped with the lap quilts. Thank you, everyone, for your love and generosity!!
