Quilt Camp Committee

Quilt Camp Committee

Quilt Camp is a time set aside for the members to get together, have fun, and learn new techniques.
Campers may work on their own projects or participate in the classes offered.
Camp is held, annually, at the end of April.  Registration is open to Guild members, in good standing, beginning at the February Guild meeting of each year.
The committee is responsible for arranging for the facility, planning classes, arranging teachers and securing permission to teach the classes.
They contact quilt shops to ask if they want to participate in offering shop discounts to campers.
They are also responsible for set-up and clean-up of the facility.

Quilt Camp Committee
Quilt Camp is a time set aside for the membership to get together, have fun, and learn new
techniques.
Camp is held annually, during approximately the third weekend of April. The cost is $185
and covers, lodging, meals, and classes. Registration is open to Guild members in good
standing beginning at the February Guild meeting of each year. One week after that guild
meeting, registration is opened to the public. There are typically 36 spaces available.
The committee plans the activities for the camp, including planning meals and contracting
with a caterer, securing instructors for the classes and obtaining any required permission
to teach the classes, purchasing the items needed for a successful camp. The committee is
also responsible for securing the facility.
If you have always wanted to belong to a Guild committee, this may be the one you are
looking for. This is the only committee that recruits for members in the middle of the year.
All preparations must be made prior to January of the following year. We are always
preparing one year in advance.
